"Doctor and receptionist go beyond professionalism

People talk about the "aloha spirit" but how seldom do we see it practiced. I am one of the fortunate who recently benefitted from aloha spirit. It came through Dr. Michael Clarke and his office staff.

I had been referred to him, and an appointment was set up for three weeks later. I called to see if I could get in earlier. To make it short, the receptionist took the time to talk to the doctor and then call me back to say that they would come in early tomorrow to see me.

Upon arrival at the office, Dr. Clarke personally came out to welcome me and took me back to be examined. He spent a good 30 to 35 minutes with me, never acting like my problem wasn't the most important one in the whole world.

The care and concern extended to me was beyond anything that I have witnessed in a long time. Maui is extremely fortunate to have a physician of his caliber.

My mahalos do not do Dr. Clarke and his staff justice."
